Ellsworth, Kansas
It was great to be back in my parents home town, Ellsworth, KS and revisit their one stop light and quaint downtown. Ryan slept through our quick tour of town but I hope he was able to see a little of it. It was special for me to drive by my Grandparent Fulton's house and surprised to see it for sale, maybe it could be our vacation home! There are a lot of memories in both grandparents houses' as well as Ellsworth, it was fun to relive them. We even squeezed in a visit to DQ. (not Dairy Queen as we found out later!)
February 22-25
Jeremy, Ryan, Lynell and I flew a direct flight from DCA to KCI to meet up with Lorin's Barta side of the family. After spending the night with Cousin's Matt and Megan we headed out to Ellsworth to visit Grandma and Grandpa. Ryan met all of his Barta side family for the first time and enjoyed special bonding with Kohen as they shared toys!
We had an extra special moment when Ryan got to meet his Great Grandparents for the first time. Grandpa tickled his feet and reminded him to always wear socks! Grandma gave him lots of kisses and even rocked him to sleep. He adored his time getting to know them and showing them his love through smiles.
Aunt Cathy treated us to delicious meals and hospitality along with great family conversation and bonding. On the way back to Kansas City we stopped in so that Ryan could meet Uncle Gary. We were glad to stop in and catch even though it was quicker than we would like. Our favorite part of the restuarant is Grandpa Barta smiling down on Gary every in his golf cart!

Valentine's Day
We have a sweet sweet Valentine this year and more love than ever! Ryan brightens our day and brings love to us every day! We wants to send hugs and kisses for Valentine's Day. I think in one picture he's even trying to give some tongue! We couldn't have asked for a better Valentine's! He wore his special Valentine's Day bib and took cupcakes to his sweethearts at Daycare. We enjoyed a steak dinner at home and relaxing bath in our *finally* done bathroom! Lorin spent the day before Valentine's Day carrying tools out of the bathroom and scrubbing the tub! But we're glad that it's finally functional and ready to be used!
Superbowl
For the Super Bowl we "pre-gamed" with the Kain's where we enjoyed tacos and yummy purred food. It was fun to see Kenzie and Ryan interact more and *almost* play together! We headed home before the big game. Ryan fell asleep in the car and "watched" the game with dad and Rascal. (or more watched the back of his eye lids!)
Lorin was busy getting food and things ready for the week but caught a few commercials on youtube.

Feb 2- Jeremy's Birthday
We celebrated Jeremy's 34th Birthday with letting him sleep in while Ryan and I played and then enjoyed a delicous breakfast at a new diner in Ashland. Conveniently we were close to Class and Trash so we took a stroll around (more for Lorin than the birthday boy!). However it looks like Jeremy enjoyed himself and found a few treasures! We then went to check out the fish at Bass Pro Shop for Ryan. After nap time we headed to dinner with the Kain's at one of Jeremy's favorite places, Joes Inn. If you ask me it was a good, low key Birthday, But I guess you better ask him!
