Hospital Visitors

1st Doctor Appointment

Wednesday afternoon we headed in to introduce Emily to Dr. Cristi Wilson.  Dr. Wilson was surprised to see us there with another kid other than Ryan but had only great things to say about Emily!  She got an A+!  She did drop a few ounces to 5 lbs 8 oz but she said that was good.  We will head in again next week to check her weight again.

30

Picture
I've joined the 30 club!  I know a lot of people make a big deal about it and agonize over turning 30, but I've been fine with it.  Maybe it's because I have so many other things going on to worry about!  But as a good friend suggested, it's not as big of a deal because I'm content with what I've done and accomplished in my life.  I'm happy with where I am, what I've done and who I am!

It's been a great weekend with friends and family celebrating, cheers to many more!

Good Night Trains

With a train table in his new big boy room we’ve had to be creative to avoid him waking up in the middle of the night wanting to play with his Choo Choos!  So every night we “put the trains to bed” and cover them up.  He’s also started kissing his trains goodnight!

Tripp's Birthday

We celebrated Tripp's Birthday today at Monkey Joe's!  At first Ryan was nervous and didn't want to join in the fun, but once he warmed up, we couldn't keep him off!  He enjoyed playing in the 3 and under area but the realized he could go on the big slides with dad and we had to drag him away!

Valentine's Day Date

For Valentine's Dinner, the 3 of us went for Hibachi!  Ryan wasn't took excited about the cooking at the table as we hoped!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Snow Day

While Jeremy ventured out to work Ryan and I held down the fort and stayed warm inside!  We kept bust in the playroom, painting with water, play doh and much more.  You’ll see the reason we use water and not paint….

This evening without even being prompted, Ryan gave his baby some of his water bottle and later gave her a few bites of his orange.  We think he's warming up to being a big brother!

2/8 Weekend

We had a pretty low key, productive weekend!  We got a lot of projects done around the house and good play time together.  We're closer to being ready for EEK to get here!  Her name is officially up on the wall, car seats installed and art work done in Ryan's room!

We learned that Ryan isn’t old enough to push his own shopping cart!  He did pretty good steering it but has no concept of others around him!

Sunday we went to the Home show to get a few ideas for upcoming house projects.  Ryan had a good time playing on all the displays and running amuck!  Jeremy even represented Echelon Pavers in Richmond, not sure if we got any business from it though!

Chickfila Playground

Jeremy decided to take a train out of NYC because of the snowstorm after the Super Bowl.  So Ryan and I got to pick him up from the train station and take him to the airport. (to get his car!)

This caused for a quick dinner at Chickfila and our first play ground experience.  Ryan LOVED it!!  At first he was the only kid so he was able to warm up to it.  You’ll see one picture of Jeremy trying to coax him down the slide and another kid climbing on Jeremy!  But it was a different story after we ate.  Lots of bigger boys in the play area.  Ryan did a good job keeping up and was in awe of them.  He climbed up by himself and watched the boys run around him.  But then he got stuck at the top of the slide and the other boys wanted him to go down.

My momma bear came out when he was pushed face first down the slide and then dog pile by 4 other boys…he was in tears and I almost was too!  Needless to say, we left!!  I’m sure this wont scare his play ground experience and we’ll have to tear him away again!

Weekend Fun

Picture
While the cat’s away, the mice will play!  While Jeremy was out of town, Gma Barta came to play with us!  We had a fun weekend of organizing, arts and crafts and playing outside.  It was a nice break to have temperatures in the 50s and 60s so we took advantage of it and got some fresh air!

Happy Birthday Dada

Jeremy had a ‘once in a lifetime’ 35th birthday in NYC to include a Jay Z concert and the Super Bowl, Seattle vs Denver!  He had an awesome weekend with the Roys and Clouds.

We missed him and wanted to send a birthday message to him, in Ryan’s birthday suit!

Car Wash

After the last 2 weeks of snow, our cars are filthy!  I decided to take the Jeep and Ryan through the carwash!

Disclaimer: yes, we took him out of his car seat, it was a long line and he couldn’t see it from his seat!  Don’t judge, I just consider myself a fun mom!
