Ryan goes to Preschool

As we're walking in.  Ryan looks at us and says, "why are we here again?" Jeremy: "To learn", Ryan "Oh yeah, that's right" and runs off to preschool!

When I picked him up.
Me: "what was your favorite part?"
Ryan: "snack"
Me: "what'd you have?"
Ryan: I don't know!
Me: (because I heard another kid say it on the way out) "you had cheese its, did you say a prayer"
Ryan: "yes, we thanked God for Fish"
Ryan: "How long do I have to go to preschool?"

What do you want to be when you grow up?  A trashman

I can't stop laughing from the email from Ryans teacher with this message and picture!

Hi Lorin!

Ryan had a great first day!  He is such a sweet boy!  Very well behaved!  Here is a pic I took.  Sorry about his eyes being closed.  He seemed to be posing that way on purpose.  :)  Ha!  I'm looking forward to more fun on Wednesday!

Books with Gma and Gpa KainGran

Grandma and Grandpa Kain treated the kids to a morning out at Barnes and Noble to pick out their favorite books.  Since both kids willy nilly pick books off the shelf I had to intervene and give them options to chose from!  But I have to say, they are both very happy with "their choices!!"  We also enjoyed dinner at their favorite place, Red Robin, YUMMMMM!  But had a hard time playing "I Spy" when they removed everything from the wall to renovate!!

SAHM Adventures

We've had some fun adjusting to our new South side address but I laugh when I see the pictures I've taken, they're all from the old side of the river!  Meeting a friend at a new park, a birthday party right around the corner from the old house and music at Willow Lawn band!  There are a few memories from our new place like playing trains with Ella, nap time and glitter every where!!

Labor Day in VA Beach

We had lots of fun getting in last minute fun at the pool and beach in VA Beach for Labor Day.  We were glad to spend it with family and create memories.  Jeremy and I were lucky enough to bank in on babysitters for a night out at the ocean front for DQ and a free Sheryl Crow concert in the sand!
I think Ryan's highlight of the trip was smores!  He's still talking about them!

Apartment Living!

I think the novelty of the apartment has worn off in week 3, but we've had fun exploring and teaching the kids to use inside voices, for real!  Day 2 in the apt, I had a visitor on the porch while the kids were napping!  We've enjoyed lots of rides on the ride walks and playing at the park right across from our apt.  We had 1 week with the pool before it closed but so far the kids have been fine with the pool closing besides the fact that Emme carries her bathing suit around with her every day!!

The kids also love checking the mail every day, so anything for them to open is great!!
