Today Ryan celebrated turning one week old with a photo shoot. He had a blast with Lorin as he rolled around on his blankets and enjoyed the attention!

Jeremy's post 05/31/2012After a long day that included a great Jeep ride (it was in the high 70s/low 80s most of the day) to run some errands, putting some additional tile on the bathroom floor and helping Lorin with Ryan's photo shoot I took a nap in preparation for my nightly playoff viewing party with Ryan. When I got up for my nap I caught the left overs of Lorin's snack - what was left of Ryan's 1 day old Birthday Cake from GMa/Pa Kain. Notice Lorin was only hungry for the icing...she keeps my life interesting!

Today we put together Ryan's bouncy seat. He loves to sit in the swings that rock him back and forth, so we figured this would be good as well. It will help us as well since he doesn't like to sleep lying flat on his back yet (in crib or bassinet).

Tuesday, May 29, 2012Today we went to the doctor for Ryan's first visit since leaving the hospital. He got to meet Dr. Wilson and she checked him to make sure he was a healthy boy. Everything checked out good and we'll continue to get Ryan some sun to help with any jaundice.

We started off the day practicing making funny faces, then Ryan got to meet his cousin Mackenzie for the first time. He hopes he can grow up to be big, strong, and healthy like she is! We finished off the day with a sponge bath that wasn't his favorite, but he likes drying off at the end!

Today started off busy with a visit back to the hospital to have a Bilirubin test since the one yesterday was not at optimal levels. The hospital had sent the nurse home so we had to wait for someone else to come in. Not the same experience we had when we were checked into the hospital just one day earlier, but we made it home without too long of a wait for a day of relaxing. |

Ryan's first full day of life. What an exciting time this has been. We had the Kain Grandparents pick up a birthday cake from Ukrops...er Martins. Ryan enjoyed some secondhand from Lorin as he nursed after she had her cake. The shot on the right is one his proud parents took at 4:43 AM. Hard to sleep when you can hang out with this little guy!
