June 24 - 1 Month
We celebrated Ryan's One Month Birthday today the best way we know how at this point, with another photo shoot! (thank goodness for digital cameras, film would have us bankrupt!) Some of the highlights from his first month of life are below:
- Meeting his Grandparents and some of his Great Grandparents!
- Ryan's first Jeep ride! Still no doors off Jeep rides, but we'll get there one day.
- Coming home and getting used to living at The Dove Shack.
- Nap times in the swing or bouncy seat. Ryan is not a fan of lying flat yet.
- Skype sessions with relatives near and far.
- Ryan has grown so much, he's moved up from New Born diapers to size 1!
- Ryan loves stroller rides around the neighborhood
- We went to our first festival, the 2012 Vegetarian Festival at Bryan Park

June 23 - Veggie Fest
We had our big first Saturday out and about. We started at the farmers market to show Ryan how to eat healthy and picked up some veggies and meat. It was our first time trying out the kangaroo pack and he seemed to really like it. We then ventured out with Scott, Regan and Mackenzie to the Vegetarian Festival where we checked out a number of animal adoption centers and booths on how to live healthy. Lorin was excited to show Ryan his first of many
festivals!
Next we went down to Grandma and Grandpa Kain's to enjoy a delicious family meal together. At the end of the day we were all exhausted from all the activity and heat by Ryan still managed to wake up every two hours!

June 17- Jeremy's 1st Father's Day!
We honored Jeremy on his 1st Father's day with a leisurely day! We started with breakfast at our favorite bagel shop NY Bagel and then took a trip to Best Buy to look at laptops. Jeremy's recent security conference has him all excited to try some of the new things he learned and he's looking to buy a new system. Later that afternoon after Jeremy got back from visiting his parents, we had a cookout and watched some of the US Open! See the Caprece salad that we made in the background! Thanks to the Father's day gift from Ryan we enjoyed a fire in Jeremy's new fire pit!

June 16 - Grandma B Visits!
Saturday Jeremy went to a Security Conference in town (Congrats Jake!) so Grandma B came into town to spend the day with Lorin and Ryan. A trip to Lewis Ginter and then some arts and crafts around the house kept Grandma B, Lorin and Ryan entertained the whole day! Ryan and Grandma B had some good naptime in the back yard while mom caught up on sleep inside the house.
Michael Jordan
Dad is so proud of Ryan's Michael Jordan suit, but is keeping track of how many times Ryan wears it. When Jeremy was in 2nd grade he had a Michael Jordan t-shirt he wore to school 23 days in a row. He had to sneak out of the house in the morning with a sweatshirt on so Grandma Kain wouldn't catch him!
Thanks to Rob and Judy for getting this for Ryan. Must have been tough for some Knicks fans to get a Jordan jersey!

June 14 - 3 weeks old on my due date!
Mom celebrated my 3 week birthday and due date with another photo shoot! The yellow blanket is a gift from one of Jeremy's colleagues. The blue hat Ryan is sporting is the hat the hospital gave him. Mom also took Ryan to get weighed today and he is 8.0 lbs. She's very proud that Ryan is a good eater and growing strong!
June 12- Tummy Time
Mom got Ryan down on the floor to enjoy some tummy time and build up his neck muscles!
June 9, 2010 - A Trip to Great Grandparents Kain
We went down to visit Ryan's Great Grandparents, Grandpa Kain's parents. They were so excited to finally meet Ryan in person. His Great Aunt Kathy and Great Uncle Ski was there as well and Great Uncle Donny stopped by before we left. Then we went back to the Kain Grandparents for some more fun time with Grandma and Grandpa. At the end of the day we had a skype session with the Barta Grandparents!
June 7, 2012 - Two Weeks Old!
Today Ryan turned two weeks old. We celebrated this like we have a lot of other events with him...with a photo shoot. His Great Grandma Kain had made him a new sweater that he was so excited to try on. It's a bit hard to see his excitement in the pictures since he was in a milk coma after a feeding, but we promise he was excited! His Kain Grandparents were out this way so they were able to stop by and say hi on his birthday as well. See the slide show below of the excitement.
June 1, 2012 - A Day of Firsts!
Wow! Today was a big day of firsts! We started off the morning with some naps while it rained (not so much a first) and then moved to a big afternoon. After our lunch time feeding, we took our first of many trips to TARGET!!!! Ryan had been to Target many times in the previous 9 months preparing for his arrival, but this was the first time he could look around and see all the fun!
After coming home and having a nap and another snack, we moved on to bath time! Since Ryan's Umbilical cord had fallen off yesterday, he was able to get his first bath in a tub! See below for some pictures of bath time and then getting dressed after.
