Easter

Jeremy has all the pictures from Easter with the Kains but I did have this awesome video of the annual Kain Egg Hunt!
I'm not sure what annual this is, I'm guessing 60??

Easter with the Bartas

Fulton Memorial- Ellsworth

We have had a whirl wind of a weekend traveling to Ellsworth, KS to celebrate the life of Louise and Ernie Fulton.  Lots of stories and memories were shared and it was great catching up with family we haven't seen in years.
The kids were asleep by 7:15 tonight, and I'm not far behind, I'll pass along more information about the weekend once we all catch up on sleep!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We met Kenzie and crew at a St. Patrick's day festival on Sunday, although we don't have many pictures, the highlights were our 1st port-a-potty experience and seeing Santa O'Claus.  This guy was the real deal, dress in all green and Ryan was obsessed with finding him and knowing where the reindeer were.

We did a few holiday crafts including picking clovers, counting their leaves and drawing/coloring clovers.  Emily even got in on the action but more of trying to eat the paint brush!
We loved spending the day checking on the animals at Maymont, having a picnic and kicking the soccer ball around.  After nap we met dad for a hair cut for the boys and a train ride at the mall.  We've been loving the nice weather to get some fresh air and run our crazies out!

May the wings of the butterfly kiss the sun and find your shoulders to light upon!
To bring you luck, happiness, and riches..
Today, tomorrow and beyond...

SAHM Adventures

Emily

We had an amazing day with all of our close family and friends celebrating Emily's 1st year of life.  Emily is so fortunate to have so many people that love and support her!  This past year has flown by and I can't believe she is 1 already.  She is an easy going girl who loves her mom and brother, (dad too, but does currently have favorites!!) can entertain herself, always along for the ride and willing to tag along, loves kissing her babies, loves laughing, loves keeping up with Ryan and enjoys climbing anything.
I feel so happy to be able to be with her everyday, all day and see her grow and know exactly what she did every day.

God Parents

Picture
Emily is so fortunate to have 2 amazing God Parents, Caroline and Reid.  When Jeremy and I talked about who we would want for her God Parents, we wanted people who we knew would be in our life forever, who have big hearts, love children and especially ours!  Caroline and Reid are natural parents and are going to be amazing God Parents to Emily.

As my Godparents, I need you to:
be there to cheer me on not only in my success but also my failure
offer a hand when I need someone strong to hold onto
be a shoulder for me to cry on when I'm sad or feeling down
be a mentor and role model for me to live up to
create experiences and memories together
let me confide in you when I need someone to turn to
offer advice, because my mom says you give great advice
ensure I stay on a straight and narrow path
be there when my parents tell me no and need to be talked sense into
most importantly, remember my birthday and special occasions with cards!
My parents have chosen you as my Godparents to commit a lifelong involvement in my life.
- Emily

Emily's Baptism

We have loved the community we've found at Hope Church and wanted to promise Emily to provide her a Christian life.  I have felt so much light as my faith has grown and want to share this with our children.  It's important to Jeremy and I to provide an opportunity for Emily and Ryan to pursue their faith journey.  We are so pleased to share this special day with our family and friends.  I was honored to be able to recommit our marriage to each other and to commit to our children to serve as Christians to them always.
When planning, I didn't realized we picked daylight savings weekend, or the earliest service, sorry guys, but thanks everyone for making it on time, I was truly impressed!!
