Krispy Cream
We took Ryan for his 1st Krispy Cream experience and he loved it!!
Pricks and Sticks
Dr. Wilson asked to have standard blood work done to check for anemia. Aunt Lynell was in town to help get both Emily and Lorin through it! I'm glad to report that we all survived! We all celebrated by enjoying some time outside!
Play date
Ryan's friend Henry came over for a play date on Sunday
Night Out!
We got to enjoy a night out without the kids! Grent Kain's came over to watch the kids and give Emily her 1st bottle!!
1 Month Check Up
Emily got an A+ at her 1st check up! She's on path for growth and the doctor said everything looked and sounded good! Ryan got to come along with us! It was my 1st outing along with both kids. It's hard to figure out the best way to juggle both kids, this time Ryan was in the umbrella stroller and Emily in her car seat. My goal was to get in as fast as possible since it was snowing!

The Zoo
We finally were able to use our zoo membership (thanks Grent Kain's) this weekend while enjoying the 70 degree weather! We were hoping that all the walking would encourage Regan to go into labor but so such luck! Ryan and Kenzie had a great time checking out all the animals together!
1 Month Shoot
Ellsworth
A lot of people have asked where we came up with Emily's middle name, Ellsworth. Lorin's parents were high school sweethearts who grew up in a small town of Ellsworth Kansas. Both of her parents grew up is this small cattle town that just got it's first stop light in the last decade!
We are glad to honor both sides of her family and remember a great place where she got to visit through childhood and create a lot of memories.
Below is a quick glimpse into the town, main street and both her grandparents houses.
Another little know fact about Ellsworth is that Rascal Flatts has a song about it!

Outside Play
We've been able to enjoy a few nice warm weather days outside, in between the cold days. A few things he's enjoying lately outside is sitting on the neighbors garden border drinking his milk, watching the mail truck and throwing balls!
Great Grandparent's Sober
Emily got to meet her Great grandparents Sober for the first time!
The Kain's
We enjoyed some quality time and a meal with the Kain's! Memaw loves holding Emily and quality time playing with Ryan!
Fun with the 4 of us
Kenzie Visit
Mackenzie came over to play with Ryan and Emily! It doesn't look like he wanted to share his chair with her!
Work Bench
While Memaw B was here, we pulled out his Christmas gift from them, his work bench! He has enjoyed playing on it ever since!
"Happy"
Ryan loves the Pharrell Williams song, Happy! And we love it because he loves it! He has started asking for it and every time we play it he asks for more!

If all of the rain drops were lemon drops and gumdrops
Ryan got to enjoy playing in the rain this evening and sing our favorite rain song "if all of the rain drops were lemon drops and gumdrops"! Playing in the rain counts as a shower, right?

Brotherly Love
Ryan is fascinated with Baby Emily! Every morning he runs in looking for 'baby'! Every time he runs by the pack and play he stops to look in at her, even if she's not in there. Ryan likes to wave in her face and kiss her belly. As cute as it is, it's a little scary when he runs up to her or throws a toy at her trying to "share"!

Daylight Savings
We finally are able to spend some time outside! We all have spring fever and were able to enjoy playing outside this weekend! We took our first family of 4 walk around the neighborhood and enjoyed stopping and talking to a few neighbors as we introduced Emily!
I must say, daylight savings is amazing!! I love that it's still light outside in the evening and now we can all get some fresh air and get some exercise outside before dinner!

11 Day Check Up
Memaw and I took Emily back to the doctor to check her weight and make sure she was eating good! We were all shocked to hear that she's up to 6 lbs 6 oz, much higher than her new born weight of 5 lbs 15 oz. Everything else checked out great and Dr. Wilson said things looked good!
