Ryan's 3

Ryan woke up to Rocco (elf on the shelf) who he's been saying for months would come to his birthday.  He was super excited to ride his scooter, with his goggles on around the house.  Ryan got to pick up his birthday cupcakes with me and insisted on wearing his goggles, again!!  We had a special birthday bath with the balloons from his morning wake up surprise!
On Monday we had his birthday party at the Twin Hickory splash pad.  What a perfect day for a birthday party at the splash pad, the heat was on but the shade was nice!  We were so fortunate to have so many friends celebrate with us on the holiday weekend.  When we got there Ryan couldn't wait to get in the water but then soon realized he wasn't too keen on getting wet!  He played on the park side before heading back to the shelter for snacks, pizza and cupcakes with friends!

Celebrating with the Grandparents

We were fortunate to have a special birthday celebration with all 4 of Ryan's grandparents this year.  We had gorgeous weather and spent most of the day outside showing off his bikes, scooters and jeeps!  Jeremy and I got lots of supervision as we planted our garden and were glad to have my dads advice as we've never had success in our garden.  (the blames on you if it's not fruitful dad!!)

Joe's Inn

We were excited to continue our tradition of Joe's Inn for dinner for Ryan's birthday.   The pictures on the bench out front are my favorite and the memories of being there are priceless!  We all did great and enjoyed their enormous portions!

Celebrating Karen

We were able to honor Karen for her birthday and Mother's day in 2 fun filled evenings of family!  On 5/14 we celebrated with out outside picnic on a gorgeous night that ended with the kids helping her blow out her candles and gobble down cake and fruit!  Since they were covered in cake and dirt we squeezed them all into one bath and then had special bed time stories with grandma on her bed!
On Sunday we had everyone at our house, Ryan got to show Kenzie his new Jeeps.  She was smart, she grabbed her tutu and helmet for the ride!!  Although it was too hot to eat outside we enjoyed dinner in the AC all around the table together!  We were so happy to celebrate and honor Karen/Momma/Grandma.

on a side note, I accidentally deleted all my pictures from these special days.  So these are the shots through Jeremy's eyes!

Mother's Day and Dad's Birthday in VA Beach

We had an amazing family weekend with the Barta's this weekend.  We started with a lunch with moms BSP sisters at the Sheraton Waterside where the kids ate lots of fruit, ran around and watched boats!  This is tradition that has been around since before I was around!  After lunch we headed back for naps and to help take the pool cover off and do yard work.  We cleaned up and headed to Rockefellers for dinner (the same place we had our rehearsal dinner).  Not pictured is a perfect night with a bon fire in the back yard!  We spent another day Sunday marking more checks off the to do list and spending time together.  I loved being together and making memories for me and the kids!
