Emily- 8 Months
Emily is on the move, all the time!! She loves to find the one thing in the room she shouldn't have and go for it. Typically it's wipes, diapers or paper! She's playing with toys more and wanting Ryan's toys, not just the rattles and baby toys! She has pulled her self up a few times too!
Halloween 2014
Squirreloween
The Diamond had a trick or treat event this week, I consider it a dress rehearsal for the real deal. It taught Ryan how to say trick or treat and thank you and now he understands the idea of people giving him candy. I laugh because the one candy he wanted to open right away was a box of lime/lemon heads. I think it was because he thought they were raisins! He did light up with the box of candy but surprisingly didn't request anymore! Jeremy met us after work for a hayride around the field and other activities they had. Watch out Halloween, we are ready!
DC- Take 2
I will admit that I made a big mistake....we were booking a getaway for when we were having house work done. We originally were looking for something for this weekend in Pennsylvania but then decided to get away the weekend before to DC. Confusing? So when I booked on Homeaway, they saved my original dates and we booked the wrong weekend...ugh...lesson learned!
Here is a complete overload of the weekend, I'm going to have a hard time explaining everything we did, but we did have a good weekend!
So once we arrived to DC, on the right weekend, we stopped at the local outlet malls to get dinner. While we were there for dinner I decided I might as well check out a few stores!!
Saturday we met Luca and Rob at a festival, naturally! Luca and Emme got up close and personal and then had their first date at Wholefoods for lunch! We kept asking Ryan if he wanted to put his Halloween consume on like the rest of the other kids and he kept saying no! After nap, we hung out around the harbor and then headed over to Cadillac Ranch when I continued the fall festivities with a pumpkin beer. It was a gorgeous night for a walk around the harbor, we stumbled across the carousel and Ryan lit up!! We really enjoyed the views of the Harbor and the lights.
Sunday morning Jeremy tried to teach Ryan about shadows as well as played on the statue in the sand. We had yet another opportunity to dress up in costume and yet again, Ryan declined. In the afternoon, we met the Roys at the Mega Halloween festival of all festivals! Luca and Emme went on their 2nd date on the slide!

Pumpkin Patch
We had a beautiful fall day for the pumpkin patch in Chester with the Kain's. We even had a surprise of seeing the Craft's, Karen's twin sisters family! The kids loved all the activities and we even got some smiles out of the babies! Sorry for the overload of pictures but there were too many good ones!
(I finally got my DSLR back, so be warned of the amount of pictures to come in the near future!)

Fun with Grent Kain's
Day trip to DC |
So, we thought we were headed up to DC for a weekend getaway while the house work was being done. When we got up there, they informed us our reservations were for next weekend...opps....
We made the most of the time there and checked out the National Harbor and the National Zoo. We only hit a little traffic, but enough to make the kids grumpy! |
Erica's Farm
We're been hearing about Mrs. Erica's farm for a while so we had to go and check it out! It was a free petting zoo for Ryan! Ryan wasn't so sure about the horses and didn't want to ride one but enjoyed running around and getting some fresh air. He still talks about Mrs. Erica's farm and asks to go back!
Grandma and Grandpa Kain's
While we have some house work done, we're crashing at the Kain's! I asked Ryan one day why he liked Grent Kain's house and he said "they have lots toys"!
Cutie Pie
State Fair
Memaw Barta came to take Ryan and Emily to the State Fair, we had a perfect fall day. He was super excited and started off strong running around, checking out the animals, people watching and riding rides, but soon crashed! We caught up with Kenzie and clan and Ryan was very sad that he wasn't as tall as Kenzie to ride the car ride. I was kind of selfishly hoping he wasn't old or tall enough for the rides but he surprisingly loved both that he got to ride!
