Where did the summer go?  I'm counting down (or dreading down)  the days until I'm back at work (12) but so thankful to be able to have this special one on one time with Ryan!  I'm telling myself that it will be good for him to socialize with other kids and get on a schedule at day care.  Up until now we feed on demand and are allowing him to figure out his schedule, which he has done a good job with!  He's been sleeping 5-6 hours at night and just recently was introduced to his crib.  I thought it would be good to transition him now rather than wait until too many changes with day care and going back to work.

Ryan and I have been enjoying each others company and entertaining each other.  He seems to really enjoy...."how big is Ryan...soooo big!", staring at him self in the mirror, any ceiling fan, but only if it's not moving, bath time and reading books.  We've figured out the trick to put him to sleep, walking the neighborhood in the kangaroo, I wonder what the neighors think when they see us every night with him!  It works and we'll take a happy baby!

We're looking forward to Ryan meeting his cousin Brodyn and Aunts Beth and Ash this coming week as they come from Colorado.  We'll head down to teach Ryan how to be a beach bum and swim like a fish in G'rent Barta's pool!

You are a marvelous mom, and I love seeing you all 3 together.
Glad that we shared time this summer, and we hope it can be at least monthly this fall..
Call on me anytime when I can be a help....

Weekend times together were sure fun in August and Sept. I will be back in the months ahead, and watching faithfully for updates from the family. Is there a way I could post the pix I took of shared times>

Grandpa and Grandma K really enjoyed keeping Ryan yesterday. It's nice to have special one on one time. For a while I didn't think we were going to be in the blog. Kindof felt left out as part of Ryan's family, but lately we have been on the blog some. Love seeing that!:) I guess it's hard for me to get out and do things with my health. He and his parents mean so much to us, and I hope we mean as much to them as they do to us!:). We have a couple of babysitting jobs coming up while Jerm and Lorin keep up on some couple time. Can't wait. When I don't have too much time to spend with Ryan, I get antsy. I want him to get to know me as much as he can so he will remember me when I'm gone. My special time is when I get to feed him and rock him to sleep on my chest. It's a special time being so close. We love the little fellow so much. I'm sure both of us sets of grandparents look forward to spending more special time with Ryan, Lorin, and Jerm.

Hi Ryan, Jerm and Lorin, We hope you had a special weekend. Didn't hear from you but know Jeremy was tired after helping Dad work on the house this past week. If he's as tired as Dad, then he's not feeling so hot himself. The two finally got the tile laid in the bathroom, but the grouting still needs to be done. David tried to show Jerm how to do it. It may already be done. I hope Lorin had some fun this weekend. Wasn't your Mom supposed to be down Lorin? Know she enjoyed spending time with you. Looking forward to the beach. I may just go and enjoy looking out at the view and sleeping and playing on the floor with the babies as much as my body will let me.
Love,
Grandma and Grandpa

I'm glad Ryan is thinking of so many fun things to do. It's also nice that his parents take him any place he wants to go. I thought when you talked about the pizza man, Jeremy would have a slice of pizza in his mouth. He loved it as a little boy. Glad you are having a wonderful first Halloween!

Jerm and Ryan got in a visit on Sat. since Lorin was out of town. We missed you Lorin. Grandpa and Grandma bought Ryan several outerwear things for the cold winter to come. We tried them all on and I think Ryan decided that he had had enough. One of the outside outfits had Tiger on it because Jeremy LOVED his Tigers when he was little. I think he had 3. We also got him a stuffed Tigger and toy Tigger to play with when he wore the outfit or anytime. Maybe he will like Tigger as much as his Daddy did.
